I gamers del Doppio Diploma

Da qualche anno organizziamo per i nostri studenti del doppio diploma più meritevoli un torneo internazionale di E-Sports. I nostri gamers più talentuosi sfidano squadre da tutto il mondo. Il campo da gioco è quello di Rocket League.

Abbiamo intervistato un doppio diplomino gamer, Andrea, e il nostro tutor Marco, coach della squadra italiana per il torneo Rocket League di Academica esports.

Questa è la testimonianza del nostro gamer Andrea, doppiodiplomino della provincia di Padova:

“Hi, I’m Andrea

I’m having a lot of fun playing the Rocket League Tournament, I play for the Mater Doppio Diploma Team. I really enjoy playing with other people around the world and I think it’s an interesting way to meet new people like your teammates.

The team

I’m happy to play in this tournament because I like playing Rocket League and it’s more funny if you play with friends, I think that this tournament it’s a very good idea, because it’s a great possibility to meet new people and play with them. We play every Saturday on 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and you have to win four matches to win the encounter and take a point for improve your position on the leaderboard.

We are a strong team and we are currently on fifth place, but there are some matches left and we can improve our position.

We haven’t played with all teams yet, but, for now, one of the strongest team we encountered was the Cornerstone Charter One team and with this team we lost, but we played well.

My Experience

I don’t play videogames a lot, only one hour everyday so I can distribute the time easily for study, playing videogames and do sports. I play football, but it doesn’t waste all my time and I can easily study and play videogames too.

My favourite videogames are Rocket League and FIFA, I like FIFA because football is my favourite sport and is the sport I practice four times a week. The football team that I support and I always play in FIFA is AC Milan.

I like Rocket League because it’s a mix of two things I like a lot: football and racing cars. In this game you have to play football with cars and it’s a perfect combination of my passions.

My typical daily routine starts with school at 8 a.m., then at 1 p.m. the school finishes and I go home to eat; after that I play videogames or I meet with my friends. At 3 p.m. I start doing homework and I check my Dual Diploma e-mail, then I do my Dual Diploma assignments and I finish my italian school homework. After homework I go training football with my team; the Union Campo San Martino. We play in a regional tournament and we play with teams from all the parts of Veneto. After training, I eat dinner with my family and after dinner I watch TV or I play videogames. Then I go sleeping at 11 p.m.”

Ciao mi chiamo Marco Scano , sono academic counselor del Doppio Diploma ITA-USA da 4 anni, e da 3 anni organizzo la squadra di studenti italiani del Doppio Diploma per il torneo di Rocket League organizzato da Academica e-sports.

Come è strutturato il torneo di E-Sports di Academica?

Ogni anno a Gennaio Academica organizza diversi tornei di Esports, tra cui Rocket League, ai quali possono partecipare tutti gli studenti Academica nel mondo. Il torneo di Rocket League si svolge di sabato e inizia solitamente a fine gennaio per circa due mesi.

Quest’anno la squadra del Doppio Diploma ITA-USA è l’unica europea a partecipare.

Come sta andando la tua squadra in questa edizione del torneo?

Fino ad ora abbiamo ottenuto buoni risultati e ci troviamo nella parte alta della classifica. La stagione regolare è terminata il 28 febbraio, dopodichè ci aspetta l’avventura dei playoffs a partire da sabato 4 marzo.

Le squadre da battere quest’anno sono Slam Boca, Doral Prep 1 e Cornestone Charter 1. La più grande soddisfazione per noi è arrivata la seconda settimana di torneo quando abbiamo vinto entrambi gli incontri disputati.

Su che basi scegliamo i nostri gamers?

Gli studenti coinvolti in questo momento sono quelli al primo anno del Doppio Diploma con valutazioni superiori al 70% nell’anno accademico.

Quale era il tuo videogioco preferito quando eri alle superiori?

Quando ero alle superiori il mio videogioco preferito era Sensible Soccer, con il quale mi cimentavo in lunghissimi tornei estivi con i miei amici gamers.
