Academica (AIS) has become the exclusive distributor of the Dual Diploma for OIEC (International Office of Catholic Education) schools around the world, with the aim of collaborating to enrich the educational panorama in synergy with the Holy See, the Vatican Dicastery for Culture and Catholic Education and more than 210,000 institutions world-class education in over 100 countries.
OIEC also maintains consultative status with the United Nations, UNESCO and the Council of Europe.
This agreement will ensure that Catholic school students can obtain a fully accredited U.S. high school diploma. Dual diploma students can earn the American diploma at the same time as their high school diploma, through Academica, the official supplier, whose recognitions are a source of pride for all linked educational institutions.
In July 2022, AIS was awarded the President’s “E” Award, the highest recognition a U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to US exports. In addition to this beautiful award ceremony, which took place at the Department of Commerce in Washington, news in recent days is that Academica’s charter schools in Florida are all in the top ten ranked by US News and World Report, including our Mater Academy.
Academica has been shaping the leaders of tomorrow since 2010. It currently educates more than 40,000 Dual Diploma students from more than 28 countries.
The partnership signed by AIS and OIEC is a fundamental step in maintaining and recognizing the high quality standards of the Dual Diploma Program in the world.
Hervè Lecomte, OIEC general secretary, announced the collaboration by declaring:
“Our organisation needs solid and valuable partners to support its development projects. It is with great pleasure that we welcome Academica International Studies as a major partner for a 4-year period. A partner at the service of the world’s young people, recognised and is destined to develop even further to improve English language learning for young people in our schools.”
This is the statement of Professor Richard Collins, director of the Italy-USA Dual Diploma Program:
“It is with immense pleasure that I announce to you a new partnership between our Miami based headquarters Academica International Studies (AIS) and the International Office of Catholic Education (OIEC). These organizations have joined forces in a significant partnership, declaring AIS (in Italy represented by Doppio Diploma Mater Academy Italy-USA) as the exclusive distributor of Dual Diploma for OIEC schools worldwide.
In the first week of December 2023 there will be a signing ceremony at the Vatican celebrating the birth of this partnership. This partnership between AIS and OIEC underscores our shared commitment to innovation in education, as they strive to shape the leaders of tomorrow from AIS headquarters in Miami and their international partners.”
